June 3 – Global Exhibitions Day: Celebrating Those Who Create the Future Today

03 June 2026
Exactly ten years ago, in June 2016, the exhibition industry gained its own official holiday — Global Exhibitions Day. The initiative was proposed by Sergey Alekseev, First Vice President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), and was supported by UFI. For an entire decade, exhibition professionals around the world have celebrated this special day.

“We firmly believe that exhibitions deliver value far beyond immediate results. Exhibitions are about developing markets, facilitating live knowledge exchange, and generating the energy that drives new projects and ideas. They are where the future of an industry takes shape. That is why exhibitions remain relevant under any circumstances: the future does not wait. Exhibitions have always been, and will continue to be, the primary meeting place for those who think one step ahead,” commented Alexander Shtalenkov, CEO of MVK.

On Global Exhibitions Day, we would like to thank everyone who contributes, together with event teams, to building the industries of tomorrow: exhibitors, visitors, partners, and experts. Thanks to your participation, exhibitions continue to serve as a true platform for dialogue, collaboration, and breakthrough solutions.

Keep participating, sharing your ambitions and plans, and shaping the future of your industry. We wish you continued success!
